SLO – Student Learning Objective

Beginning the 2014-15 school year, classroom teachers will be required to complete and implement a Student Learning Objective. Simply stated, an SLO involves the teacher identifying a goal that is connected to the standards that they teach and measuring student progress in achieving that goal. The outcome of the SLO will enter into the teacher’s final evaluation for the school year as indicated on the 82-1 form. PA-ETEP has a SLO module that walks the teacher and administrator step by step through the process and seamlessly inputs the results of the SLO into the final 82-1 rating form. To view information from PDE regarding SLO visit the following PDE link:... read more

Differentiated Supervision

PDE has given districts the option of implementing a Differentiated Supervision process with their tenured teachers. For example, a district may decide to have their tenured teachers (Instructional II) follow a three year cyclical evaluation process whereby the teacher has a formal/clinical observation one year and completes a Differentiated Supervision action plan the other two years. PA-ETEP has a Differentiated Supervision module that walks the teacher and supervisor step-by-step through the process of Differentiated Supervision and completing an action plan. Act 82 Rating Forms

The final rating for each professional educator is calculated and documented via the various 82 Rating Forms (82-1, 82-2, and 82-3). For classroom teachers, the 82-1 rating form is used to calculate their final rating of Distinguished, Proficient, Needs Improvement, Failing and/or Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory. The 82-2 form is for principals and 82-3 is for NTPE (Non-Teaching Professionals). PA-ETEP base product includes the various 82 rating forms/calculations and guides supervisors, step by step, through completing the forms. Forms are automatically calculated and archived for future review. More information on the following rating forms can be found on the PDE website below: 82-1 Rating Form – Classroom Teaching Professionals Rating Form 82-2 Rating Form – Principals/CTC Directors 82-3 Rating Form – Non-Teaching Professionals... read more

Principal and NTPE Evaluations

Beginning the 2014-15 school year, building principals and various NTPE (Non-Teaching Professional Employees) will be evaluated through the new PDE required process. Through this process principals and NTPEs are encouraged to provide evidence in regards to the component areas of their professional rubric/standards of practice. PA-ETEP has a Principal/NTPE module that guides individuals, step by step, through the process of entering evidence. Guiding questions and example types of evidence are provided to support each professional educator through the process. Click here to learn more about the Principal/NTPE module.
